For this blog post I would like to talk about the upcoming
chapter in our textbook online about fake news. I would say that using social
media it is easier to try to influence a group to persuade them what to say
about an issue. Online it’s really hard
to assume that something is true. For
instance, in the chapter it talks about several online truths and how they go
on to make something to be true. One it needs to have evidence, sincerity and
you. In other words, you the human have the decision to make whether or not if
the news is factual or not factual. This chapter talks about the many
categories of fake news which are misinformation and disinformation. Misinformation is incorrect data where
disinformation is things to try to persuade someone. This year has been hard to figure out what to
believe and to not believe.
